What are the requirements to rent a car?
The requirements to rent a car with Alamo are the following:
- Valid driver's licence.
- Voting credential from INE, valid passport or migratory document.
- Credit card Visa, Mastercard and American Express; in case of previously paid reservations, said card must be the same with which the payment was made.
- Be over 21 years of age. *Drivers under 25 have to pay an additional cost.
How much does it cost to rent a car per day?
The cost of rent per day depends on the dates, type of car and rental branch, a price quote can be generated from this website, the process is really easy (check question 3).
What is the process to reserve/rent a car online?
The process is really easy, it can be done from this website, select the dates and travel destination, type of car with the desired level of protection and the payment method. As a recommendation, wide protection level can be selected, this allows the client to go completely calm in his trip and the retention is really low. Another recommendation is that if the client prepays the trip, he can take advantage of esclusive discounts on the base rate and protections.
What does the rent of a car online includes?
The rental of the car includes the cost per time and mileage, the client can add additional services such as insurances and extras, at the end of the price quote online the client will have the total price.

I'm under 25 years but over 21 years of age, can I rent a car?
Yes, it is possible to rent a car if the client has a valid driver's licence, you must hire the additional service called "Minor Driver".
What is the rental cost if the driver is under 25 years of age?
The cost per minor drivers is $17.4 dollars per day (at the exchange rate).
What is the rental cost per additional driver?
The cost per additional driver is $142.18 MXN pesos per day.
I have issues with my reservation and/or payment method, what should I do?

What do I need if I booked in a (border) city and want to cross the border?
The client will need to hire the "Right of Crossing" service, which you can take at the counter of the rental branch. The approximate cost is $10 US dollars per day, plus taxes (at the exchange rate).
Are you interested in a corporate agreement or do you need more information about our services?

Can I pay with another non-credit card?
No, as part of the requirements to rent in Alamo it is essencial to have a credit card. We recommend checking the rental policy section for more information.
Can I pay with someone else's credit card, even if I am the driver?
Yes, as long as the additional driver service is acquired, this service has a cost of $142.18 MXN per day.
What is the amount of retention on the credit card to rent a car?
Check the rental policy section in the Guarantee part where the amount of retention is indicated according to the coverage hired.
If I don´t have a credit card, what can I do to rent?
The credit card is a requirement for the rent, if any of the people who travel has a card, the rent can be done even if the person isn't the one who's driving, as long as the additional driver service is acquired.

Doubts about forgotten objects in cars or branches.
We recommend calling the office indicating the reservation number and the return time so they can look at the correspondent report and check if the staff found the object in the car.
Can the car be delivered in a city other than where I made the rent?
Yes, however, we recommend consulting the cost of this service previous to the pick-up. You can do it directly at the office or in any of our official channels.
